The "dark side" of our personality is known as the shadow, and it's a direct reflection of the most hurtful wounds we've experienced in life. It can make us feel inadequate, unlovable, and undeserving. Our shadow self is composed of negative emotions and impulses that we've repressed into our unconscious during childhood.
However, hiding our shadow can result in negative issues that affect our lives.
To confront the shadow, we must first be patient and compassionate with ourselves. By repetitively questioning our emotions and pushing them to the surface, we can begin the process of exploring these hidden aspects.
